Sommelier wine cellar selections.
Extensive
Sommelier Select Wine Cellar and featuring over 30 Wines by
the glass. Our speciality listings have been sommelier selected
to provide you with the ultimate wine environment. As
many are rare or of limited availability, some selections
may no longer be available.
We will
always be searching for new and exciting wines to offer our
clientel.
Little
Louis' has been awarded the
Wine Spectator 2007, 2008 & 2009 Award of Excellence
Receiving
a prestigious award such as Wine Spectator put a whole
new perspective
on the direction of our restaurant. The focus became a move
to maintain the immediate direction and flow of the restaurant,
and to begin to explore ways and means to search out that
next plateau that will still exhibit a comfort level that
is not intimidating by brand or price.
With the
formal retirement of Chef Steven Huston C.C.C. in the
spring of 2007, the search was on for someone who would honor
that commitment to exceptional culinary skills, and add to
it, a fresh and innovative outlook towards the existing wine
and food pairings. The ideal candidate was Chef Pierre Richard, a hot, new, up and coming young chef, who not
only respected our level of commitment, but was able to breathe
fresh and exemplary contributions to our wine philosophy. It
was a great surprise to us to find that our sommelier Mr.
Robert Nöel had worked with Chef Pierre A. Richard at one
time in the past..
Now we
are turning our attention to the introduction of Chef Pierre A. Richard's
fine cuisine menu, and the wine pairings of Robert Nöel,
to our clientele. This allowed us to feature wine dinners
with the representatives of the wineries themselves. Wine
from France, featuring Bouchard Père et Fils,
and introduced by none other than Luc Bouchard, a ninth
generation member of the Bouchard family. The success
of this wine dinner led to another featuring Henriot Champagnes,
with the marketing representative of Henriot from France
hosting the dinner. Now we were well on our way to what we
felt would be our next level of elegant foods and exemplary
wines.
Chef Pierre A. Richard
has worked diligently with Robert Noël to compliment
our existing cellar with his new and exciting menu, and allowed
the introduction of many new and exquisite grapes and vintages.
We still maintain our Sunday open wine features by the glass
at one price, and scatter a few new tantalizing vintages to
pique interest .On occasion, the introduction of guest sommeliers
to explain the complexities of a particular blend or vintage
will round out the evening.
The New
Year will allow us to invite, and exposé new wines
and old favorites, with dinners that compliment or elevate
the primary role of the wines that we cellar. Once again our
belief and mission is.
